Hi! I'm Jen,
I am a recent graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, where I obtained an Associate Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts and graduated in December 2021.  I have been told by my family that I have been fascinated with food since I was born. When other kids were watching cartoons, I was watching The Food Network. When I was 8 I started baking on my own, but from box mixes. Then at 13, I started baking from scratch and developing my own recipes. At 19, I made the decision to continue my education at The Culinary Insitute of Anerica. Now I am 21 and I am still pursuing my passion, but now I am doing so with my own certified home bakery! Prior to studying at The CIA, I only practiced and baked at home in my kitchen. At the age of 14 I started helping out during holidays at my relative’s Chinese Dim Sum Restaurant, Golden Palace in Uncasville, CT. Soon after, I became a hostess and busser, I learned so much more about how running a restaurant works during my time there. Later on, I decided to work at Sift Bake Shop in Mystic, CT. I was working as FOH Bakery Customer Service, I took customers’ orders, was also a barista, and at times helped out BOH. I am extremely passionate not only about making food taste good but also the look of the product. I love making trendy un-traditional picture worthy food! Though I am a huge believer that you eat with your eyes first, flavor and texture is just as important. Since the usual vanilla and chocolate flavors can get repetitive and boring. I think it’s important to come up with fun and different flavors! Besides baking, I also have a love for photography and videography. I love social media, and I also have a YouTube channel that I am hoping to grow!
