Hi! I'm Jen,

I am a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, where I earned an Associate Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts in December 2021. Most recently, in May 2025, I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship—further equipping me with the knowledge and tools to grow my business, JLee Bakery. According to my family, I’ve been fascinated with food since the day I was born. While other kids were watching cartoons, I was glued to The Food Network. At just 8 years old, I started baking on my own using box mixes. By 13, I was developing original recipes from scratch. By the time I reached my senior year of high school, I knew I wanted to pursue baking professionally, which led me to attend the CIA in New York. Now, I continue living that dream through my own certified home bakery—JLee Bakery! Before studying at the CIA, all of my baking experience came from experimenting in my home kitchen. At 14, I started helping during the holidays at my relative’s Chinese Dim Sum restaurant, Golden Palace, in Uncasville, CT. Eventually, I became a hostess and busser, which gave me valuable firsthand experience in the restaurant industry. Later on, I worked at Sift Bake Shop in Mystic, CT, where I handled customer service, made coffee drinks as a barista, and even helped out behind the scenes. I’m incredibly passionate about creating food that’s not only delicious but also visually stunning. I love making trendy, unconventional, and picture-worthy desserts that push the boundaries of traditional baking. While I believe you eat with your eyes first, flavor and texture matter just as much. That’s why I love experimenting with bold and unique flavor combinations—way beyond just vanilla or chocolate. Outside the kitchen, I have a deep love for photography, videography, and social media. I work as a content creator and influencer, collaborating with lifestyle and beauty brands across different campaigns. I also run a YouTube channel, which I’m excited to continue growing, and I absolutely love being on set—whether I’m creating content or competing on TV. A lifelong dream of mine has been to compete on a televised baking show, and now, that dream is coming true! When I’m not baking or filming, you’ll probably find me curled up with a good book. I’m a huge book lover and run a BookTok account where I share my current reads and favorites. Oh—and let’s not forget my chickens. I’m a proud crazy chicken lady, and my flock is completely spoiled! Whether it’s baking, books, or brand collaborations, I’m always finding new ways to express my creativity and share what I love with the world.
