HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

Just head over to the "ORDER" tab on the menu bar. Read all the info, then scroll down and the button to the order form is there!

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I HAVE TO PLACE AN ORDER?

Preferably AT LEAST 2-3 weeks prior to the date you would like to receive your order. However, the more time the better, especially if your order requires custom inclusions. I've had clients book as early as 6 months in advance for weddings.
(Do note: I work a part-time job with long hours on top of this, so to ensure your date will be available, the earlier you can let me know the better!)

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

JLee Bakery is a cottage bakery based in Mystic, CT, meaning we operate under cottage food laws and do not have a storefront at this time. Orders are available for pickup or limited delivery.

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT TO BOOK AN ORDER?

Yes—all orders require a 50% deposit to secure your date.

  • Event Cakes, Macarons, and Cupcake Orders: A 50% deposit is required to formally book your order. This deposit goes toward your final balance. The remaining payment is due at delivery or pickup on your event date.

  • Weddings: A 50% deposit is required to formally book your order. This deposit goes toward your final balance. The remaining payment is due 7 days before your event date.

    • All wedding cake orders have a $150 minimum (not including setup or delivery).

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept payments through Square (which supports most major credit cards and Cash App). Once your order is confirmed, you’ll receive an invoice for a deposit—this must be paid to secure your order.

Alternatively, you can pay via Venmo (@jleebakery), and we’ll send a request directly.

Cash is only accepted for the remaining balance at delivery or pickup, after the deposit has been paid.

DO YOU OFFER ALLERGEN-FREE DESSERTS?

At this time, we do not specialize in dairy-free, nut-free, or other allergy-friendly baked goods. However, our French macarons are naturally gluten-free. Please note that while most of our flavors do not contain gluten ingredients, they are prepared in a kitchen that processes gluten, nuts, and other common allergens. If you have severe allergies, please consider your sensitivity before placing an order.

WHAT KIND OF FROSTING DO YOU USE?

Unless otherwise noted on the menu, I use all Italian Meringue Buttercream in my cakes, cupcakes and some macarons. Italian Buttercream is a little different from the more commonly used American Buttercream as it is made by forming a meringue with egg whites and sugar before adding butter. Which creates a lighter, fluffier, and slightly less sweet buttercream.

DO YOU SELL MINI CUPCAKES?

Unfortunately, we do not offer mini cupcakes at this time. Our focus is on providing high-quality standard-sized cupcakes to ensure the best flavor and presentation. Mini cupcakes don’t allow enough room for creativity and decoration, so we choose to focus on making our full-sized treats as beautiful and delicious as possible.

DO YOU SELL ICED SUGAR COOKIES?

Decorated sugar cookies are not currently part of our regular menu, as they are one of my weaker skills and something I haven’t always enjoyed making. However, I’m working hard every day to practice and improve! While I don’t offer them regularly, I do accept orders on occasion—feel free to reach out, and I’ll see if I can accommodate your request.
